Spring work continues!

David preparing each hole for lavender plants.

As spring continues on toward summer, our working around the lavender farm continues. Actually, the list of things that need to be done before harvest continues to grow and at times seems overwhelming, since both David and I are still working full time jobs.

Last weekend we(yes, I helped) hung 2 gates for what will be the entrance to the farm. We still have a little work to do for the drive, but stumps are ground out, and gates are hung.

David had a friend help him this past week, and they shaped up rows for the 300 more lavender plants that will be arriving later this month. Today David is out preparing each individual hole, and hoping to finish them before the rains start in.

Luffa Tunnel Beginnings

I planted some rosemary, sage and marigolds in stock tanks that hold up what will be the first 8 foot section of my luffa tunnel. My luffa seeds are sprouting, but I want to give them a week or two more before I plant them outside.
